Businessman Donald Trump was still leading the New Hampshire Republican primary by double digits, according to a CNN/WMUR poll released Thursday, but his nearest competitors had shifted.

Trump led among his GOP rivals with 26 percent of support from New Hampshire residents who said they planned to vote in the state’s Republican presidential primary.

Former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina was in second place with 16 percent. Fiorina surged to second place nationally among Republicans in a poll released Sunday, but her national ranking has been inconsistent among polls released later in the week.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) came up in third place in CNN’s New Hampshire poll with 9 percent, while retired neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson had 8 percent, and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush had 7.

Trump had about the same amount of support in a July poll of New Hampshire, according to CNN.

The poll released Thursday was conducted by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center from Sept. 17-23. Interviews were conducted by phone among 820 New Hampshire residents, including 344 who had said they planned to vote in the Republican presidential primary. The margin of error was plus or minus 5.3 percentage points.
