Rep. Cory Gardner (R-CO) holds a 1-point lead over Sen. Mark Udall (D-CO) with early voting underway and two weeks to go until Election Day, according to a new Monmouth University poll.

Gardner is up, 47 percent to 46 percent, the poll found. Another 4 percent said they would vote for another candidate and 3 percent were undecided.

It was Monmouth’s first survey of the race; most recent polling has found Gardner with a narrow but persistent lead. PPP, for example, showed Gardner leading by 3 points in a poll released Tuesday.

The Monmouth poll, conducted Oct. 17 to 20, surveyed 431 likely voters. Its margin of error is 4.7 points.

According to TPM’s PolTracker average, Udall currently has a slight advantage, 45.6 percent to 45.1 percent.
