Two Wisconsin Democrats, Reps. Steve Kagen and David Obey, have received threats, the Post-Crescent reports.

Someone scrawled the word “kill” on the sign in front of the Kagen Allergy Clinic, which is no longer owned by Kagen but still carries his name. He has also received so many threatening calls that one staffer took a leave of absence due to the stress.

“After call after call after call, this sort of beats them down,” said a spokeswoman. “At the end of the day, the folks who have to answer the phones are the real heroes.”

Obey received several threatening calls and is having a security door installed at his district office.

Both congressmen voted for health care reform.
