President Donald Trump seized on a Washington Post report Friday that details his administration’s rejected idea to dump immigrants into sanctuary cities, saying that the White House is giving “strong considerations” to the proposal.

Both times it was raised in the past, ICE reportedly shot it down, citing legal, budgetary and optics risks. The White House told the Post it was “just a suggestion that was floated and rejected, which ended any further discussion.”
