Baseball fan Trump bragged in a tweet on Monday that the Boston Red Sox’s recent wins were a result of the team’s visit to the White House last week, an event that many players, including the team manager, opted to skip.

The team visited the White House on Thursday. A handful of players decided to forgo the ceremony. Red Sox manager Alex Cora, a native of Puerto Rico, said he decided to not attend in protest of Trump’s handling of the devastation in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria.
