Tiger Woods has been seriously injured in a car accident near his home in Florida. The Orlando Sentinel reports that Woods, 33, pulled out of his driveway around 2:25 a.m. this morning, hit a fire hydrant, and then drove into a tree on his neighbor’s property.

The Florida Highway Patrol reportedly said the airbags in Woods’ Cadillac Escalade did not deploy — meaning he was traveling below 33 miles per hour.

CNN reports that the Florida Highway Patrol says that alcohol didn’t play a role in the accident — but that the crash is under investigation and charges are pending.

After the accident, Woods was reportedly transported to Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, Florida.

The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles did not immediately return a phone call from TPM seeking comment.

Woods is widely considered to be the greatest golfer ever. He has won 93 tournaments — including 71 on the PGA Tour. Woods has won 14 major championships — second only to Jack Nicklaus’ 18.

CNBC’s Darren Rovell tweets that according to Woods’ agent, the golfer is doing fine.

Tiger Woods’ agent on condition: “He is fine.”

On CNN at around 3:20 p.m. ET, the mayor of Windermere, Florida, said Woods had been released from the hospital.
