RNC Chairman Michael Steele sent an email to supporters today, urging them to dig in their heels and stop health care reform.
Steele’s missive also said that the RNC would do everything in its power to help Republican Senators who are opposing the bill.
“The Democrats have a 60-vote super majority in the Senate — if Harry Reid manages to just coerce, co-opt, or cower his own Democrat members, there’s nothing to stop this socialist nightmare’s passage,” Steele wrote.
“We must get the truth about the Obama Democrats’ disastrous health care scheme out to their constituents — past the liberal media filter — and make sure the citizens of their own states demand they vote ‘NO!'” Steele added.
Steele also slammed Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-LA) for agreeing to vote for the bill in exchange for $300 million for her state.
