The chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee has called the Secret Service director and the couple who crashed a White House state dinner to testify at a hearing this Thursday.

Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS) wants Secret Service head Mark Sullivan and Michaele and Tareq Salahi to tell the committee what happened last week, when the Salahis, owners of a Virigina winery and prominent on the polo circuit, got into the state dinner without an invitation.

The Secret Service has already taken responsibility for the breach, saying the agency is “deeply concerned and embarrassed” by the incident.

The Salahis, who are angling to be cast in a reality show, somehow bypassed security last Tuesday night. Michaele Salahi then posted photos of her and her husband posing with Vice President Biden, Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and others. The pair also met the President in a receiving line.

Other lawmakers, including Rep. Peter King (R-NY), the ranking member of the committee, and Sens. Evan Bayh (D-IN) and Jon Kyl (R-AZ), have called for an investigation.
