The RNC reportedly sent out a mailer this month that mistakenly listed the number for a phone sex hotline.

The mailer, designed to look like a census form, included what was supposed to be the phone number for the RNC. Instead, the number reached a phone sex hotline recording that offered “live one-on-one with hot horny girls waiting right now to talk to you.”

An RNC spokesman told Politico that “the number in question was a typographical error by a vendor used on this particular mailer — using 1-800 instead of 202,” and that it “is an isolated incident and will not be repeated in the future.” The RNC did not immediately return TPM’s call.

And the folks at the RNC are not the first to make this mistake.

Back in September, Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R-MN) accidentally gave the number of a phone sex hotline when appearing on a radio show. Gov. Charlie Crist (R-FL) made the same mistake when giving the number for Florida KidCare in a hold message recording for his office

This is unfortunate timing for the RNC, which has recently garnered some attention after a staffer spent donor funds at a bondage-themed club.
