Hotline On Call is reporting that the Republican National Committee staffer fired over the $2,000 nightclub bill is Allison Meyers, who headed the “Young Eagles” program.

The Young Eagles is a group of Republican donors under age 45 who donate certain amounts to the RNC, or solicit larger donations from friends. The group is also holding a fund-raising event at Blackwater’s North Carolina headquarters in April.

An internal RNC memo obtained by TPM shows that the excursion to the Voyeur West Hollywood nightclub followed a Young Eagles event in L.A.

The after-party at Voyeur “was not an RNC sanctioned event and was not associated in any way with any RNC official event,” wrote the RNC chief of staff, Ken McKay.

McKay says the staffer, whom he doesn’t identify, requested reimbursement for the “private individual” who paid the bill. The staffer, he said, “was aware that this activity was not eligible for reimbursement and had been previously counseled on this very subject. Accordingly, that staff person has been terminated.”

According to FEC reports, the individual who was reimbursed for the nearly $2,000 bill is a California GOP operative named Erik Brown.

The RNC has not confirmed that Meyers was fired.
