Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R-MN) has written a letter to President Obama asking him to invite U.S. governors to the bipartisan health care reform summit on Feb. 25.
In his letter, Pawlenty commends Obama for his “interest in seeking Republican solutions to reforming our nation’s health care system.”
He continues:
Furthermore, I urge you to invite governors to assist you in this matter, since they have hands-on experience reforming health care in our states.
Pawlenty then describes his own proposals for health care reform, before adding: “Successful health care reform requires broad public support. I appreciate your interest in hearing the best ideas from all sides.”
Looks like Pawlenty’s not afraid that the health care reform summit is a “set-up,” unlike his fellow Republicans John Boehner and Mike Enzi.
