Sarah Palin is scheduled to host an hour-long special Thursday on Fox News called Real American Stories, with special guests that include GE CEO Jack Welch and Rapper/Actor LL Cool J.

The special is set to air Thursday at 10 p.m. in place of On The Record With Greta Van Susteren, and then again April 4 at 9 p.m. The special will will reportedly tell “real-life tales of overcoming adversity.”

Aside from Welch And Cool J, country music singer Toby Keith will talk about his song “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American).”

The special is just the latest of several Palin TV ventures, including a reality travelogue show about Alaska that is reportedly being considered by Discovery Networks, and her regular contributing gig on Fox News.

Late Update: LL Cool J slammed Fox News on his Twitter feed last night for using old footage from a 2008 interview to promote their special:

Fox lifted an old interview I gave in 2008 to someone else & are misrepresenting to the public in order to promote Sarah Palins Show. WOW

Here’s the promo:

Late Late Update: Following that tweet, Fox News is now cutting the interview entirely!

TVNewser reports this from a Fox spokesperson:

Real American Stories features uplifting tales about overcoming adversity and we believe Mr. Smith’s interview fit that criteria. However, as it appears that Mr. Smith does not want to be associated with a program that could serve as an inspiration to others, we are cutting his interview from the special and wish him the best with his fledgling acting career.

Fledgling acting career? Clearly, they haven’t seen The Last Holiday.
