As House Judiciary Committee chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) investigates filing articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump, he has requested documents from other committees probing the President relevant to the case.

According to a letter obtained by Politico, he addressed the request to the chairs of the House Intelligence, Financial Services, Oversight and Reform and Foreign Affairs committees.

He asserts in the letter that he is in no way infringing on the other committees’ investigations, but asking for shared information when pertinent.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has resisted some members’ calls to begin impeachment proceedings, worried that the act would be politically costly and ultimately toothless due to Senate Republicans’ recalcitrance.
