Lou Dobbs still won’t say where he’ll be next year, but at least his fans will know where to find him tonight. Less than a week after leaving CNN, Dobbs will be Bill O’Reilly’s guest on Fox News tonight.

From Variety:

Fox News said the interview on Monday’s edition of “The O’Reilly Factor” will cover Dobbs’ resignation from his longtime cable home and his views on immigration, which stirred controversy and likely hastened his exit from CNN.

A network spokesperson told the paper the appearance did not mean Dobbs was set to become the new face of Fox News. The spokesperson, from the report:

“We have not had any discussions with Lou Dobbs for Fox News or Fox Business.”

Over the weekend, Dobbs sat down with the AP for a an extended interview about his sudden departure from CNN, which had been his home for decades.

From the report:

Dobbs said he will take weeks – perhaps months – to sift through ideas before deciding his next step. The future could include journalism. He said his separation agreement didn’t have a non-compete clause, something TV news organizations frequently use to keep people off the air for a while.

A run for public office interests him, Dobbs said. It’s one of several options he said he’s considering.

“I know certain things that are immutable and one of them is that I’m going to be engaged in the public arena,” he said.
