Former Rep. Mark Foley (R-FL), best known for exchanging lewd instant messages with teenage House pages, is branching out into the world of historical furniture sales with the launch of his “Celebrity Consignment” shop.

The store, located in West Palm Beach, is mostly filled with Foley’s own possessions from his days living in D.C., as well as some other furniture and a few historical documents.

“Celebrity Consignment” also boasts an array of elephant-themed paraphernalia, no doubt bittersweet reminders of Foley’s political past.

Foley said of his new endeavor: “People are looking to downsize and they’re looking for cash. That’s the new reality.”

He added: “My name attracts attention, I’ll give it that. For good and bad people have all kinds of things to say. But I will tell you this experience of coming home has been wonderful.”

Foley has also recently launched his own public affairs talk radio show, called “Inside the Mind of Mark Foley.”
