Yesterday, Rachel Maddow aired another clip of Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) objecting to a senator receiving extra time in a floor speech, something McCain recently found offensive when it was done by Sen. Al Franken (D-MN).
Last Week, Franken cut off Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) during a floor speech and objected to granting him an extra minute to finish his remarks. This outraged McCain, who said he’d never seen anything like this, and “I don’t like it.”
Well, as Maddow pointed out, McCain did the same thing to Sen. Mark Dayton (D-MN) back in 2002, when he asked for extra time during an impassioned speech against the Iraq war.
