Thinking of going back to school, but don’t want to pay good money to those elitist institutions with their liberal values and their hoity-toity accreditations?

Well, Glenn Beck’s new “Beck University” kicks off tomorrow evening, and provides the perfect curriculum for someone looking to brush up on his or her knowledge about “faith,” “hope,” and “charity.”

Beck’s website is advertising Beck University as “a unique academic experience bringing together experts in the fields of religion, American history and economics.”

The courses start July 7 at 8 p.m., and boast three professors teaching “Faith 101,” “Hope 101,” and “Charity 101” for entry level students, with 102 and 103 level classes in subsequent weeks.

The online classes, which “meet” every Wednesday through September 1, are offered exclusively to “Insider Extreme” subscribers, who can pay $9.95/month for perks not offered to regular subscribers.

The mission statement of Beck University is perhaps best gleaned from the Latin saying on its Coat of Arms: “Tyrannis Seditio, Obsequium Deo,” which roughly translates to “Revolution against tyrants, submission to God.”

One professor is James R. Stoner, Jr., who teaches Political Science at Louisiana State University, and has argued in favor of allowing prayer in public schools. Another is right-wing historian David Barton, founder and president of “WallBuilders,” a group that aims to

exert a direct and positive influence in government, education, and the family by (1) educating the nation concerning the Godly foundation of our country; (2) providing information to federal, state, and local officials as they develop public policies which reflect Biblical values; and (3) encouraging Christians to be involved in the civic arena.

Barton also stars in this video, titled “Is America A Christian Nation?”:

And here’s Beck telling you why getting a history degree at a real university is for suckers:
