May 20, 2010: In a bold overnight heist, thieves — or possibly one thief — stole five paintings from the Museum of Modern Art of the City of Paris. The alarm system had been disarmed and three guards on duty say they saw nothing. A surveillance video shows one masked burglar, and staff found a cut padlock and a broken window this morning.
The paintings are valued between 100 million and 500 million euros.
