In an email to supporters, the pro-reform group Health Care For America Now is calling for its coalition partners (which it describes as The Grim Reaper and the ghosts of those who have died for lack of health care), to join them in a demonstration to lobby Sen. John Ensign (R-NV) to support health care reform.
The event, called “The Haunting of Senator John Ensign,” will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in front of the Lloyd George Federal Building in Las Vegas. People dressed as ghosts, who represent “the dire outcomes of bad political and legislative decisions,” will hand out leaflets and try to generate calls to Congress on behalf of comprehensive health care reform.
But that’s not all Senator Ensign has to worry about!
The Grim Reaper, representing the health insurance industry, will also be on hand to frighten people as they do whenever people come between them and their profits.
Sounds scary. Maybe not as scary as a Senate Ethics probe, but…
