Rep. Steve King (R-IA) said on MSNBC this morning that the House health care reform bill will take away every American’s existing health insurance coverage.
“Pelosi’s agenda takes every one away,” King claimed. “It cancels every policy.”
A moment earlier, King claimed that a huge majority of Americans are pleased with their health insurance coverage — something MSNBC’s Dylan Ratigan was quick to call him out on.
“Eighty-five percent of the people in America are happy with the health insurance policy that they have,” King claimed.
Ratigan: “That’s not true. That is not true.”
King also said today’s Capitol Tea Party was “the only way to stop” Democratic health care reform.
“We need to make sure that especially the blue dogs that are on the fence are more afraid of their constituents than the Speaker of the House,” he said.
Until they’re ready to break with Nancy Pelosi, I don’t have a lot of confidence they’re gonna save our freedoms.
