President Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani attempted to clean up comments he made to CNN’s Chris Cuomo on Wednesday evening regarding collusion and the Trump campaign.
“There was no collusion by President Trump in any way, shape or form,” he said in a statement to The New York Times’ Maggie Haberman. “Likewise, I have no knowledge of any collusion by any of the thousands of people who worked on the campaign.”

During his interview with Cuomo on Wednesday evening, Giuliani appeared to break with his usual blanket “no collusion” line and told CNN: “I never said there was no collusion between the campaign or between people in the campaign” and Russia. He went on to claim that he was only aware that Trump did not collude with the Kremlin to win the 2016 election.
