Fox News correspondent Geraldo Rivera voiced some of the speculation buzzing around who will fill the late Sen. John McCain’s seat, making his pitch Sunday for the Senator’s wife, Cindy McCain.
#CindyMcCain is well-qualified & should be appointed to fill Senate seat now vacated by death of hero husband #JohnMcCain

Cindy McCain’s name has reportedly been tossed around by many speculators, pros being that the choice would satisfy the family’s wishes and that she likely wouldn’t run for reelection in 2020, cons being that her politics are largely unknown.
The choice ultimately falls to Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey, who has said that out of respect for the late Senator, his replacement will not be announced until after the burial.
Ducey is walking a thin line to pick someone more amenable to hardcore Arizona Republicans, but not someone so drastically different from McCain as to insult his legacy.
