Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi’s 42-year grip on power is slipping and, believing that he will soon be ousted or killed, Jon Stewart rushed last night to name everyone Qaddafi looks like while he still time left to do so.

“We have like a hundred of these, and I gotta try to get them out,” Stewart said. “We don’t know how long this guy’s gonna last.”

Noting how the mysterious Qaddafi defied description through the years, Stewart tried his hardest to pin him down, conjuring new comparisons when mentioning Qaddafi in his opening monologue. Qaddafi is “a man who each day is more easily confused with the star of the Paramount smash Castaway, Wilson” Stewart said, referring to the volleyball Tom Hanks’ character used to keep him company on a deserted island.

“If Wilson dressed like a Jedi Knight,” he added.

In addition, Stewart described Qaddafi as “a wax figure of Danny Trejo that’s been left out in the sun,” and a Muppet version of Prince. Or, citing unnamed sources, Stewart said he could be best described as a “a 1991 Lionel Richie right after he had taken a quick peek in the Ark Of the Covenant.”
