It has only been days since President Obama “inflicted” his jobs bill on the country, and Stephen Colbert already knows the legislation is terrible. But don’t take his word for it.

“The friendly friends at Fox and Friends put their researchers on the case, and they zeroed in on the fatal flaw,” Colbert said Wednesday. The culprit? A “chintzy” paper clip.

And it’s not just Fox who has picked up the story. It’s gaining traction “all across things Rupert Murdoch owns,” Colbert said.

“If (Obama) really believed in this bill, he should have presented it in a leather bound volume with gold filigree and illuminated initials, so the Republicans had something presentable to dismiss before they ever look at it,” he added.
