Last Sunday, the morning news shows were all Obama, all the time. This Sunday, the Clintons are taking over.
As Howard Kurtz pointed out, former President Bill Clinton will appear on Meet the Press and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will be on Face the Nation. Both shows air at the same time — 10:30 a.m. ET — so it’ll be a Clinton vs. Clinton ratings battle.
“Household bragging rights at stake,” Kurtz tweeted. “Who will make more news? I say Bubba.”
Maybe. But my money’s on embattled Gov. David Paterson (D-NY), who’s also appearing on Meet the Press, presumably after the former President. Will Paterson still be claiming to be running in 2010? Sunday’s a long way away, and the White House has made it clear it wants Paterson to step aside. Will he? Now that’s must-see TV.
