House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-VA) has spoken out for the first time since a man was charged yesterday with threatening to kill Cantor and his family, saying that “no one condones the threats, or the violence, or any kind of racial slurs, or introduction of any of that into political discourse.”
Following a local event in Virginia, Cantor told a reporter: “Unfortunately, some who resort to violent threats and others, unfortunately they come up on any side of the political spectrum.”
He added: “I believe that those issues should be left to law enforcement and for them to address
