Sen.-elect Scott Brown (R-MA) said today that in his phone call last night with the president, Obama remarked that “when I came down there I didn’t go at you too hard.”

Brown said in a press conference that he “had a great conversation with the president,” and that he said “‘well Mr. President, I want to meet you too. You have a wonderful family, I’ve always had great respect for your accomplishments, and by the way, do you want me to bring the truck?'”

Brown continued: “And he laughed and said ‘well, when I came down there I didn’t go at you too hard.'”

Brown also recounted how he challenged the president to a 2-on-2 basketball game.
