Attorney General William Barr has chosen Connecticut US Attorney John Durham to probe the origins of the Russia probe, acquiescing to President Donald Trump’s new mantra: “investigate the investigators.”

The move will be music to Trump’s ears, as he insists that the FBI agents trying to determine if his campaign was being infiltrated by Russians were actually trying to undermine his campaign.

According to the Washington Post, Durham will determine if the FBI’s methods — which Barr has termed “spying” — were “lawful and appropriate.”
