But surviving the night was Tim "I'm thinking of naming my baby Karl" Griffin. He chalked up a 60-40 win in Arkansas' 2nd District against restaurant owner Scott Wallace.
Griffin worked as a top aide to Karl Rove and was interim U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas after Bud Cummins was fired by the Bush Administration to make room for Griffin. But he resigned from the job after the Democratic Senate refused to confirm him for a permanent spot on the job.
Griffin's Democratic opponent will be determined in a June 8 runoff.
