More details continue to dribble out about the often troubled lives of the alleged members of the Christian militia, who are charged in Michigan for an alleged plot to kill police.
A police report on Thomas Piatek dug up by the Post Tribune of Northwest Indiana, shows that a woman he was dating went to police after he scared her with a gun. The alleged incident occurred when they were driving in the truck of Piatek:
Piatek then started putting bullets into the gun, and as he did so, he started talking.
"He told me if I ever left him, he would kill me," she said.
Piatek later apologized, saying he didn't know what had gotten into him, the woman said, but she still felt uncomfortable.
Authorities have said they found 46 guns, a sword, a crossbow, smoke grenades, and militia DVDs in Piatek's Indiana home.
