A sentencing date for former national security adviser Michael Flynn has been set for Dec. 18, U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan indicated Wednesday.

After nearly 10 months of cooperation with special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation, Flynn’s attorneys and prosecutors had recently requested a sentencing date from the court. Flynn pleaded guilty in December to lying to the FBI about his contacts with Russian officials during the Trump presidential transition.

Flynn was also under federal investigation for failing to register as a foreign agent while lobbying on behalf of Turkey and making national security decisions that benefited his former business associates.
