Jurors in the John Edwards trial were asked whether they or someone they’re close to have been affected by infidelity and how much attention they pay to the news, according to a copy of their jury questionnaire.
“If you have ever been divorced or separated, was infidelity or unfaithfulness an issue in your divorce or separation?” jurors were asked. “Have you or has someone close to you been personally affected by infidelity or an extra-marital affair in a relationship?”
Another part of the survey, embedded below, asked jurors how often they got political and national news from newspapers, radio, the internet, friends, television, magazines, tabloids and talk shows.
Former Edwards aide Andrew Young was expected to take the stand for the second day on Tuesday morning to testify on behalf of the prosecution. Young, who previously claimed paternity of the child Edwards fathered with mistress Rielle Hunter, was granted immunity for his cooperation in the case. He reached out to other witnesses in the weeks leading up to the trial, further complicating the case against Edwards.
