The U.S. is sending a team of roughly 50 Marines to Yemen to reinforce security at the embassy in Sanaa as protests there continue. The Wall Street Journal reports:

The Marine Fleet Anti-Terrorism Support Team, known as a FAST platoon, is currently on the ground in Yemen, according to a senior U.S. official. The team was dispatched after protesters on Thursday breached the wall of the diplomatic compound there. “This is partly in response to the violence at the diplomatic compounds in San’a and partially as a precautionary measure,” said a senior U.S. official.
