The Wisconsin State Journal reports:

According to numbers released Thursday by the state Department of Workforce Development, Wisconsin lost 4,500 jobs between February and March and has lost 23,900 over the past year. In the private sector alone, the state lost 4,300 jobs and 6,100 in the past 12 months. Despite March’s drop in private-sector jobs, the state has still added 15,600 this year.

The jobs issue remains a pesky one for Gov. Scott Walker, who has vowed to help create 250,000 jobs in the state by the end of 2014. When Walker took office, Wisconsin had about 2.74 million nonfarm jobs. Over the next year, the state experienced an uneven ride to job losses in seven of 12 months.
