Willie Robertson, star of the reality show “Duck Dynasty,” said during an interview on the Fox News show “Fox & Friends” on Friday that he loves the way Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has been campaigning.

Robertson, the chief executive of Duck Commander, a sports hunting business, likened the 2016 presidential race to the “wild, wild west.”

“When (Trump) dropped the cell phone number, that was the best thing I had seen,” Roberston said.

Trump has made colorful comments so far in his campaign about immigrants and fellow Republican lawmakers. And in the midst of a war of words, Trump gave out Sen. Lindsey Graham’s (R-SC) cell phone number.

But it’s Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (R) who has Robertson’s vote so far, he told Fox.

“Great guy, Christian man, just a smart guy,” Roberston said on the program. “I like what he stands for, where he’s at. I’ll be with him.”

Jindal paused his campaign after a gunman killed two people and injured others before killing himself on Thursday night at a movie theater in Louisiana.

Robertson, who is from Louisiana and was on the show to promote his new book, “American Hunter,” offered his sympathies to the shooting victims.

“My heart goes out to the city and state as we mourn those shot,” Roberston said.
