White House Takes Credit For ‘Rapid’ Deficit Reduction

White House spokesman Jay Carney said Wednesday that President Obama’s policies have contributed to “the most rapid deficit reduction since World War II.”

Carney cited the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office’s new projections showing swiftly falling budget deficits in his daily briefing with reporters.
