Vice President Joe Biden raised some eye brows last night when he said that “we weren’t told they wanted more security” at the U.S. diplomatic mission that was attacked in Benghazi, Libya. The claim appeared to contradict a currently ongoing investigation in the House.

Now, however, according to The Cable’s Josh Rogin, the White House says that Biden was speaking only for himself and President Barack Obama, neither being aware of the requests by the consulate for additional security prior to the attacks.
