The White House is not building a replica Oval Office for President Obama this summer while the West Wing reportedly undergoes renovations, press secretary Jay Carney told reporters on Wednesday.

“Reports about a replica Oval Office are false,” Carney said at a daily press briefing. “No one is moving from the West Wing.”

A Real Clear Politics report published last week claimed the White House was planning a two-year renovation of the complex, which would “complete a new executive office for President Obama at the south end of the adjacent Eisenhower Executive Office Building.”
