Leaders of a group of pro-gun control protesters who gathered outside the White House Friday with a vague call for “bold action” from President Obama following the shooting at a Newtown, Conn. elementary school issued some specific policy aims Saturday.
Rev. Michael McBride, an Oakland, Calif., gun control advocate called on Obama to push for a renewal of the assault weapons ban. Obama has repeatedly called for the ban to be renewed. From the letter:
