A New Jersey judge on Tuesday was scheduled to hear arguments from lawyers representing former allies of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R ) who are fighting legislative subpoenas issued by lawmakers investigating the George Washington Bridge lane closures.

Christie’s former campaign manager, Bill Stepien, did not appear personally in the courtroom, but the governor’s former deputy chief of staff, Bridget Kelly, did appear.
