Wal-Mart reversed course on Wednesday and said it will send a representative to Vice President Joe Biden’s meeting on gun violence Thursday, a spokesperson told CNN.
“We underestimated the expectation to attend the meeting on Thursday in person, so we are sending an appropriate representative to participate,” Wal-Mart spokesman David Tovar said.
The retailer originally said it couldn’t attend Thrusday’s meeting, which is part of the White House’s task force on gun violence.
