Syrian opposition spokespeople have told the Guardian that 11 people have been killed since a ceasefire was supposed to take effect on Wednesday. This is a reduction from an activists’ report stating 100 deaths occured on Tuesday. The architect of the ceasefire agreement former, UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, has notified the UN security Council that Syria must still implement promised troop withdrawals, and urged pressure on the Assad regime.
