President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden are attending a cermeony at the Vietnam War Memorial on Monday marking the 50th anniversary of the outbreak of that conflict. Among the additional featured speakers are actor Tom Selleck, who served in the California National Guard, Jan Scruggs, president of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, Everett Alverez, Jr. a former POW, and former Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-NE), who earned two Purple Hearts as an infantryman in Vietnam.
