Nate Davis, a military veteran who interned for Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown and works as Xavier’s director of college affairs, praised President Barack Obama’s work on the GI Bill in a speech at the Democratic National Convention on Tuesday.

“The GI Bill keeps opening doors for me; 800,000 vets have gone back to school on the new GI Bill, a law that Barack Obama championed in the Senate and expanded as president. They’ve all earned it and the president had their backs,” Davis said.
