The United States has offered a $10M reward for the apprehension of a prominent Pakistani militant. Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, is the founder of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), a guerrilla organization that Indian and American intelligence agencies believe organized the shooting rampage in Mumbai, India in 2008. Despite at one time being placed under house arrest and being forbidden from entering Pakistan’s capital, Saad is said to be closely connected to Pakistan’s security forces and often addresses political rallies. U.S. Under Secretary of State, Wendy Sherman announced the reward offer during a visit to India where she is lobbying for India’s support in implementing sanctions on Iran.
