US and Afghanistan Closer to Post-Conflict Agreement

Senior American officials have signed on to a deal that would create a framework for US and Afghan relations after planned NATO troop withdrawals in 2014. The agreement reportedly includes commitments for further US aid and government advisory services. It does not address whether or not a reduced number of US troops or security contractors will stay after 2014.
