The National Rifle Association on Thursday ran a newspaper ad in five states to counter the gun policies proposed by the White House, CNN reported.
“Will Obama’s gun control proposals actually work?” the headline of the ad reads. “His own experts say ‘No.'”
The ad, which will appear in newspapers in Arkansas, Louisiana, Maine, North Carolina and West Virginia, is running on the same day that Vice President Joe Biden is heading to Connecticut to participate in a conference on gun violence. The pro-gun lobby is spending about $350,000 on the ad campaign, according to CNN.
