Officials at University of Colorado School of Medicine, “out of an abundance of caution,” have asked non-essential persons to leave research buildings on campus with connections to the suspect in Friday’s shooting in Aurora, Colorado.
“There is no reason to believe that our students or staff are at risk. However, out of an abundance of caution we are asking all non-essential campus personnel in RC1 north and south and RC2 north and south to leave the campus or not report to work,” University of Colorado Denver Chief of Campus Police Doug Abraham said in a statement. “The police have walked the buildings, and believe there is no reason to be concerned.”
