U.S. Cuts Funding For UNESCO After Palestinian Vote

The U.S. has cut off funding for the UN’s cultural agency, UNESCO, after it admitted Palestine as an official member, the AP reports. The U.S. was obligated to do so, because of legislation in the 1990s that requires the U.S. to cut off funding from any UN body that accepts Palestine as an official members, as the New York Times reports.
