U.S. and NATO Firm Up Plans for End to Afghan War

At next month’s NATO meeting in Chicago, President Obama is expected to announce that the Afghan war is close to an end. The announcement is the result of an agreement that American and NATO officials came to in a meeting yesterday that establishes a firm framework for ending the conflict. Vital issues remain unresolved, including which nations will foot the bill for the billions needed to fund Afghanistan’s security forces.
